Man arrested for smashing video gaming machine

Monticello police arrested Mark A. Soldo (42) of Jackson heights, NY on Saturday 5/25/13. Soldo was charged with felony criminal mischief in the 3rd degree. On Saturday 5/4/13 Soldo intentionally struck a VGM machine at the Monticello Casino and Raceway breaking the glass screen of the machine.

The value of the damage caused to the machine was $1281.00. Soldo left the premises before he could be identified by casino security. On Saturday 5/25/13 Soldo returned to the Casino and was recognized by security from the incident on 5/4/13. Monticello police were then called and Soldo was arrested. Soldo was arraigned before village of Monticello justice Josephine Finn and remanded to the Sullivan county jail on $1500.00 bail pending further court action.
