On Friday March 8, 2013 at about 12 noon, a Bethel Constable was investigating suspicious footprints in the snow near an unoccupied seasonal dwelling in the Swan Lake section of town when he came upon a strong odor of marijuana emanating from a residence located at 108 Hurd and Parks Road.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and interviewed the occupant, Kenneth J. Frank age 57. Mr. Frank admitted that he was running a marijuana growing operation out of the home. Deputies seized 72 plants in various stages of growth and charged Frank with Felony Criminal Possession of Marijuana and Unlawfully Growing Cannabis. Kenneth Frank was booked and then released on his own recognizance pending a future appearance in the Town of Bethel Justice Court.
