Fugitive Apprehended in a Seasonal Fishing Cabin in Deer Park

On Thursday, March 7, 2013, the New York State Police arrested Justin A. Miller, a fugitive wanted in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, following a joint police investigation with the United States Marshals and Pennsylvania State Parole.

Justin A. Miller, age 23, of 1156 Green Mountain Drive, Effort, Pennsylvania, was apprehended in a seasonal fishing cabin off Oakland Valley Road in the Town of Deerpark on Thursday afternoon by members of the New York State Police and United States Marshals. Investigation revealed that Miller had broken into two residences in the Town of Deerpark over a 4-day span and was subsequently charged by the New York State Police with two counts of Burglary in the second degree, a Class C Felony.

Miller was also wanted by Florence Township Police Department in the State of New Jersey on charges of Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer and Auto Theft after leading their agency on a high speed vehicle pursuit on 02/27/13. In addition, Miller was wanted by Pennsylvania State Parole on the charge of Simple Assault.

Miller was arraigned by Judge Weiboldt in the Town of Greenville and was remanded to Orange County Jail on no bail. Investigation is continuing as Miller is suspected in a number of other crimes in the state of New Jersey.
