On Thursday, November 15, 2012 the New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Justin S. Nash, age 25, of SR 44/55, Kerhonkson NY following a landlord tenant dispute at the Nash residence.
Troopers found that Nash was being evicted by his landlord, and while the landlord was attempting to serve papers on Mr. Nash, an altercation erupted between the landlord and Nash’s live-in girlfriend.
Justin Nash then acquired a 9mm rifle from the residence and fired one round into a wooded area beside the residence. Nash then threatened the landlord with the weapon. A physical altercation then occurred between Nash and the landlord where Nash purposely damaged personal property belonging to the landlord. No injuries were reported following the incident.
Justin Nash was subsequently charged with the misdemeanors of Menacing in the second degree, Reckless Endangerment in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree, Illegal discharge of a Firearm, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and the violation of Harassment in the second degree. Nash was arraigned in the Town of Rochester Court before Town Justice Paul Shaheen and was released on his own recognizance.
