The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Michael R. Dennin Jr, age 38, from Accord, NY. Dennin was charged with Criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, a felony, and Unlawful growing of cannabis, a misdemeanor.

Troopers discovered more than 18 marijuana plants in an apartment bedroom after responding to a 911 call for a chimney fire at the residence.

Dennin was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court before Town Justice Dechon and was released on his own recognizance.
