Honesdale Borough Police report the arrest of 26 year old Jacob Eldred for DUI on 09/27/12 after investigating a crash.

Honesdale Borough Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Church St. at approximately 10:50 pm on 09/27/12. Investigation revealed that Eldred was driving a 2012 Dodge Avenger northbound on Church Street, when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a parked car and a utility pole on the left side of the roadway. Eldred appeared under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.

Eldred was charged with two counts of DUI and Carless driving. Charges were filed at the Wayne County Courthouse. A Central Court appearance is forthcoming.

Sgt Bishop and Ptlm Thacher are the investigating officers.
