The New York State Police in Montgomery announce the arrest of Eric J. Fleischman, age 51, of 2574 E 21st Street, Brooklyn, NY for Strangulation in the second degree (Class D Felony) and Assault in the third degree (Class A Misdemeanor).
On September 19, 2012 at approximately 1:51 pm, concerned citizens at the Campbell Hall General Store in the Town of Hamptonburgh intervened in a violent physical domestic dispute between a man and woman which was occurring in the parking lot. Troopers responded to the scene and arrested Fleischman. The victim was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center for treatment of her multiple injuries. Goshen VAC responded and transported the victim from the scene.
Fleischman was arraigned by Town of Hamptonburgh Town Justice Edward Suoto and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $7,500 secured bond. An order of protection was issued to the victim.
