On Thursday evening, 8/9/12, members of the State Police assigned to the Highland Barracks conducted a check of local retail establishments to see if they were selling alcoholic beverages to underage purchasers.
Of the eleven stores checked, six of them sold alcoholic beverages to a person under the age of 21. Arrested for Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the First Degree, a class "A" misdemeanor, and the ABC violation of selling alcohol to a minor were the following subjects:
Zachary Carillo, 18, of Wallkill, NY, a clerk at the CVX on Wallkill Ave, Wallkill, NY
Surash Patel, 32, of Loch Sheldrake, NY, a clerk at the Sunoco station on St. Rte 208 in Wallkill, NY
Kelly A. Parsons, 23, of New Paltz, NY, a clerk at the Convenient Deli, Main St. New Paltz, NY
Vishale Patel, 26, of New Paltz, NY, a clerk at Country Farms, Main St. New Paltz, NY
Muhammed Yousaf, 54, of NY, a clerk at the Chapel Hill Sunoco, 9W, Lloyd, NY
Madhukar Patel, 22, of New Paltz, NY, a clerk at the Grand St. Mobil, 9W & Grand St., Highland, NY
All subjects were issued appearance tickets to appear in court in their respective jurisdictions.
