The New York State Police in Wurtsboro announce the arrest of age 62, of Wurtsboro, NY for the felony charges of Reckless Endangerment 1st and Assault in the 2nd degree.

This arrest came as the result of a 911 call reporting a pedestrian being struck by a SUV that left the scene. Investigation revealed that RAPPINA was the operator of the vehicle in question and after striking the pedestrian, with whom he is familiar, it is alleged that he exited the vehicle and physically assaulted the male victim, who is 41 years old. The victim was transported to ORMC in Middletown for treatment.

RAPPINO was arrested and charged with the above crimes at SP Wurtsboro. He was arraigned by T/Mamakating Town Justice Joel Welsh and committed to Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or bond, to reappear on a later date.
