A Honesdale man was assaulted on Sunday May 13th, 2012 at approximately 4:30 p.m., on Riverside Drive. 56 year old Brian James was assaulted by 51 year old Charles J. Fritz Jr., of Honesdale. The assault occurred after an argument between the two men.

James was taken by Life- Flight to CMC Hospital in Scranton for injuries sustained in the assault.

Fritz was charged with Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault and was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional facility after failing to post $25,000 bail.
