Pennsylvania State Police in Honesdale recieved a report of a one-vehicle collision on Columbus Avenue in Palmyra Township on April 29. When Trooper Warner arrived on the scene he discovered that a utility pole had been knocked down by a vehicle driven by Daniel Wolk of Hawley.
Wolk told Warner that another vehicle had crossed into his lane, forcing him off the roadway and into the pole. He described the other vehicle as a small grey pickup truck.
A neighbor said that the small pickup turned around and came back, stopping at his driveway and speaking with him. The truck appeared to be a Ford Ranger with a club cab. The driver appeared to be in his 20s with blond hair.
The driver told him he had reached for something on the floor when it happened. The neighbor advised him to call police and tell them the story. The driver, however, told him he was late for work and drove off.
Anyone with any information is requested to call the police at 570 253-7126.
