THe Pennsylvania State Police at Honesdale responded to a report of a vehicle blocking the travel lane of State Route 296 at the parking lot of the Crossroads Bar in Canaan Township, and the operator walking away.
Upon arrival, the trooper found the vehicle, a black 2003 Chrysler Town and Country minivan impacted on the curb. 22-year-old Jacob Knash of Honesdale was seated in the driver's seat and appeared intoxicated. Upon futher interview, Knash was asked to exit the vehicle and perform field sobriety tests. He was then taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and was transported to Wayne Memorial for a blood test. Charges will be filed pening the test results.
