On 09/12/2011 at approximately 1:23 a.m., the Honesdale Borough Police responded to a residence on North Main St. for a reported assault. An initial altercation had started after an argument that took place at Turkey Hill and moved to the front porch of the above address.

The investigation revealed that Michael REED, 21 years old of Honesdale, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment of a head laceration. Reed was assaulted with a blunt instrument to the top of the head by 18 year old Douglas WOHNING of Honesdale. Also charged were Noel Jose ROMAN, 26, of Honesdale and a juvenile for their involvement in the assault.

Charges were filed on WOHNING for Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Noel Roman and the juvenile were each charged with Simple Assault, Harassment by Physical Contact, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Charges were filed at the Office of MDJ Mikulak .

A Central Court Appearance is forthcoming at the Wayne County Courthouse.
