A Liberty man has been charged with Forgery and Identity Theft after he attempted to obtain a New York State Driver’s License at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Monticello. Adelaja Oke, 45, was taken into custody by DMV Investigators and Sheriff’s Deputies as he tried to file a driver’s license application at the County Government Center on Tuesday. It is alleged that he used forged documents and the identification of another individual. Oke was arraigned before Sullivan County Court Judge Michael McGuire and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
