Speeding in a work zone leads to an arrest

A Trooper out of SP Liberty on July 18 stopped a 1993 Chevrolet pickup on Heiden Road in the town of Thompson for Speeding in a Work Zone.

The operator, Andrew R. Jackson, age 33 of Brooklyn, NY was uncooperative and failed to provide a driver license or registration materials to the police officer.

Mr. Jackson was placed in custody and charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd, Failure to Obey a Police Officer and Speeding.

He was arraigned before town of Thompson Justice Meltzer and remanded to the Sullivan County jail in lieu of $250 bail. He will reappear in court on July 21, 2011.
