On Monday 04/18/2011 at 10:51 a.m. Honesdale Borough Police responded to the area of 135 Willow Avenue for a two vehicle collision.
A 2007 Toyota Rav 4, operated by 27 year old Amanda Mehrtens of Tafton, drifted off the right side of the roadway. Mehrtens’ vehicle then collided with a parked 2000 Dodge Intrepid owned by Jennifer Ryan of Lackawaxen.
Mehrtens and her passenger were transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Honesdale EMS. Honesdale Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.
Mehrtens was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic, or driving out of a lane, a summary offense.
