LIBERTY, NY — Open to youth ages five and above, the annual Winter Workshops of Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC)’s 4-H Youth Development program is an opportunity for families to get crafty before the holiday season. On Saturday, December 6, participants can enjoy 10 stations of make-and-take activities including a community service project. This program will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. at the CCESC Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center. The snow date for this program is Sunday, December 7.

CCESC volunteers will teach simple techniques for working with paper, textiles, recycled materials, and more to craft items reflecting the season.

The public can participate in the afternoon of workshops for $10 per youth or only $5 with enrollment in the 4-H Youth Development program (five to 19 years of age). There is no cost to join CCESC 4-H in Sullivan County.

Space and supplies are limited. Call 845/292-6180 or e-mailing mlr34@cornell.edu.
