Grant-writing workshop at Pike library

MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Public Library and The Greater Pike Community Foundation will host a grant-writing workshop for not-for-profits on Tuesday, October 7 at The Pike County Public Library, 119 East Harford St., 8 a.m. The four-hour workshop will be conducted by Kurt R. Bauman, MBA, executive director of the Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center, and division manager, Community Services, NEPA Alliance.

Attendees will be introduced to the basics of grant seeking as well as the nuances of effective grant writing, preparation, and submission strategies. Participants will learn new approaches in grant writing and how to increase chances of getting funded. How to research and identify eligible private and government funding sources through a variety of websites and online tools will also be discussed.

Cost is $20 per person, which covers cost of the workshop, refreshments, and lunch provided by the Waterwheel Restaurant. Coffee and Danish will be served at 8 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately following the workshop. Registration deadline is September 30.
