MONTICELLO, NY — The Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library will offer Career Counseling Sessions on Tuesday, September 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Saturday, October 11 from 2 to 5 p.m.; and Thursday, October 23 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Free one-on-one individualized career coaching sessions are available. Job seekers will meet with a career coach to get help writing their resume and/or cover letters, exploring career options, developing effective strategies for their job searches, or preparing for job interviews. Each session will be one hour long.

“Although the economy is showing signs of improving, many unemployed or underemployed workers are still looking for work,” said one of the career coaches Gregg Knowles. “They need to know how to portray their skills on a resume and during interviews, find jobs in the hidden job market, deal with age bias, and master the often impersonal technology-driven job search.”
