TOWN OF TUSTEN — Talks and tours, demonstrations and displays filled the annual local history weekend at Ten Mile River (TMR) Scout Camp on August 2 and 3. Visitors learned about the early history and inhabitants of the Upper Delaware River Valley and of Sullivan County, the economic contribution of the Delaware and Hudson Canal, the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp at TMR during the Great Depression, the construction of New York City’s reservoir system in the Catskills and more. The annual event was sponsored by the TMR Scout Museum, the National Park Service and several local history societies.
