HARRIS, NY — Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Seelig Division Medical Laboratory in Harris, and Grover Hermann Division Medical Laboratory in Callicoon have been awarded recognition from the accreditation committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This accomplishment was attained following an on-site inspection of both hospitals, as required by the CAP’s Accreditation Program.
CAP inspectors examine numerous details such as laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record and overall management. The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is recognized by the U.S. Federal Government as one that is equal to or more-stringent-than their own inspection program.
Serving western Sullivan County and its surrounding communities, the Grover M. Hermann Hospital is a New York State designated Rural Critical Access Hospital and offers a broad array of community health services. For more information, call 845/887-5530 or visit www.crmcny.org/aboutus/gmhdivision.
