HURLEYVILLE, NY — Individuals who would like to learn about “No Sweat Summer Gardening” are invited to a free Celebrating Sullivan Spaces event on Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Hurleyville. Come for hands-on instruction about easy weeding and deadheading techniques and put these skills into practice in the public gardens that are cared for by Hurleyville-Sullivan First volunteers.
The event begins at Firemen’s Park on Main Street (near the basketball courts). No experience is necessary. Gloves and tools will be available, refreshments will also be provided. The instructor is Sullivan Renaissance Horticultural Coordinator Diana K. Weiner. The celebration also features a visit from Rennie, the Sullivan Renaissance Rooster, who will be available for pictures with participants.
To RSVP, call 845/295-2445 or visit www.SullivanRenaissance.org.
