Woodsmen’s competition at Wayne County Fair

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — Log rolling, a brand new event, will be added this year to the 31st Woodsmen’s Competition on Saturday, August 2 at 2 p.m. during the Wayne County Fair. Chainsaw tree felling, axe throwing, two-person crosscut, Jack and Jill crosscut, skill tree felling, and five classes of chain sawing, including one class for ladies only, will be featured. Competitors from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and beyond can win trophies and prize money for finishing in first, second or third places. The registration deadline is Friday, July 18. Registration forms can be found on the Wayne County Conservation District’s website, www.wayneconservation.org, or check out www.waynecountyfair.com.
