HASBROUCK, NY — This month begins the season of ballet classes for kids at the Old Stone House of Hasbrouck. Ballet classes start Saturday, July 19 and are from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and continue on the five subsequent Saturdays. A second class series is tentatively scheduled for Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m., when both kids and adults can study ballet together. Students work at their own pace and follow classic ballet discipline including floor exercises, barre and center-work, and across-floor practice.
Classes will be taught by local resident and certified dance therapist Alana Sherman. For registration and additional information, contact Sherman at 845/436-0070, or email sherman_alana@yahoo.com. The cost is $10 per class, or $48 for all six sessions ($42 for a second family member). There is a 20% discount for Old Stone House members.
