Pictured here are Steven Meyer, left, and Howard Rutz working in the blacksmith shop at Fort Delaware in Narrowsburg, NY, circa the 1970s. Steven’s mom, Mildred, tells me that she made his shirt in the authentic Colonial style of the era. My grandson, Leif Johansen, works as a blacksmith there at this time and he loves it!
