Monticello High School moves graduation to Bethel Woods

MONTICELLO, NY — A later-than-usual end to the 2013-14 school year has caused Monticello High School Commencement Exercises to be moved to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on June 29 at 1 p.m. The ceremony is traditionally held at the Sullivan County Community College Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.

“It is unfortunate that we cannot hold graduation at the college this year, but we look forward to working with them again and continuing our successful partnership,” said District Superintendent Daniel A. Teplesky. “We are grateful to Bethel Woods for being so accommodating in our time of need.”

Commencement exercises have been held at the Sullivan County Community College Fieldhouse since 2000, and according to district officials, the arrangement with the college and the size of the venue has been “a perfect fit.”

Detailed logistical information will be mailed directly to parents and graduates and posted at www.monticelloschools.net.
