LORDS VALLEY, PA — Penn State Extension will hold a free Getting the Most of Your Grant Writing Efforts Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 11 at the Pike County Training Center, 135 Pike County Blvd.
The grant-writing and fund-raising environment is increasingly competitive. Organizations and agencies need to take the time to prepare the grant and understand that grant writing is a process. This workshop will break that process down into workable strategies to ensure a more successful outcome.
The workshop will address grant writing and fund-raising options; responding effectively to Requests for Proposals (RFPs); working effectively with foundations; components of an effective proposal; evaluation strategies and considerations; how your proposal is reviewed; and effective search strategies.
There is no fee to attend this event thanks to the sponsor, the Pike County Council of Governments. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by June 9, by visiting extension.psu.edu/community/ecd/events.
Call 570/296-3400 for more information.
