Sullivan County Chamber announces Pride Awards

MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce will honor 19 individuals as the “Pride” of their community at the 23rd annual Pride Awards Gala on Sunday, May 4 at the Villa Roma Resort.

Each year nominations are received from the supervisors in each township and winners are chosen by a committee of past Business Persons of the Year. This year nominations were opened to the public. One winner from each of the 15 townships as well as four countywide winners for Business Person of the Year, Distinguished Service to the County, Distinguished Achievement in the County and a Young Emerging Leader will be honored for their community involvement and their contributions to the economic development in the county.

This year’s Pride Award winners are: Bethel, Michael and Sandi Cassaro, Keller Signs; Callicoon, Scott and Juliete Gaebel, Youngsville Garage; Cochecton, Lloyd and Roger Brucher, Fosterdale Equipment; Delaware, Matthew Lanes and Dominique Jenkins, Matthews on Main; Fallsburg, Ira and Nathan Steingart and Cindy Perlmutter, Steingart Printing; Forestburgh, Kelvin Gorr, Lost Lakes Resort; Fremont, Philip Hillriegel Jr., Hillco Manufacturing; Highland, Lou Monteleone, The Corner; Liberty, Joel and Kenneth Ross, Ross Electric; Lumberland, Richard Codichini, River Runner’s Roost; Mamakating, Dr. Linda and Dean Tintle, Wurtsboro Veterinary Clinic; Neversink, James R. and Susan Sheeley, Sheeley Oil & Excavating Inc.; Rockland, Dr. Mary Johnston Austin, Austin Physical Therapy; Thompson, Bryce and Jamy Flynn, Everyday Apparel; and Tusten, Patrick and Peggy Harrison, Rasmussen Furniture.

The countywide winners are: Business Person of the Year, Greg Goldstein, The Misner Agency Inc.; Distinguished Achievement Award, Alexis L. Eggleton, Town of Wallkill Boys & Girls Club; Distinguished Service Award, Elaine Giguere, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance; and Young Emerging Leader, Brad Rutledge, The Keats Agency.
