HONESDALE, PA — When the Other Shop opens for the season on April 7, it will debut a new look, expanded hours and a new way of doing business. The former consignment shop at 1036 Main St., Honesdale, was renovated over the winter and will now operate as a donation-only thrift store. The shop is operated by the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to benefit the hospital’s programs and services.
The shop’s interior has been freshly painted and reorganized to give the store an airy, boutique-like feel. Besides the shop’s new look, shoppers will notice a new, generic pricing system. The Other Shop will continue to offer gently-used clothing, shoes, household items and small pieces of furniture at reasonable prices. Donations will be accepted anytime the shop is open.
The shop’s hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A grand reopening celebration is planned for late April.
