LIBERTY, NY — A hands-on workshop exploring the traditions of making chutney is offered on Saturday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The class, given by Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County’s Master Food Preservation program, will be held at the Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center.

Long-time Master Food Preserver Maria Grimaldi will help participants discover the spices and flavors of chutney from different cultural traditions around the world.

Everyone will have the opportunity to taste samples of chutney and learn serving suggestions. Participants will take two versions of chutney home with them.

The cost is $30 per person and includes a light lunch. Space is limited, so pre-registration with non-refundable payment is required in advance. Registration and more information can be obtained by calling 845/292-6180 or emailing SueAnn Boyd at srb46@cornell.edu.
