LIBERTY, NY — New farmers, anyone thinking of starting a farm, or those interested in connecting with local farmers’ perspectives can attend a “Beginning Farmer Roundtable” discussion with Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County on Monday, December 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gerald J. Skoda Extension Education Center.

This panel-style event will allow the public to communicate with several local farms including Root n’ Roost, Majestic Farm, Apple Pond Farm, Aaron Burr Cidery and Beaver Dam Brook Farm. Experienced farmers will offer guidance on topics like what to farm, land and where to sell, plus feed, general care and adversities.

Cost is $10 per person or $15 per farm. Space is limited, so pre-registration with payment is required by December 27. To register and for more information, call 845/292-6180 or email Michelle Lipari at mml249@cornell.edu.
