HAWLEY, PA — Woodloch Pines Resort guests, volunteers, staff and family members recently broke the Guinness Book of World Records for assembling the most hunger relief bags in under three minutes. The task took place Saturday, November 23 from 2 to 2:03 p.m. While Guinness still has to review and finalize, the team of 414 exceeded the goal, putting together 656 bags in 78 seconds.

The bags contained 10 non-perishable Thanksgiving-themed foods, which were donated to local food pantries in Pike, Wayne, Monroe and Lackawanna counties with the help of The United Way and local charities. There will be a total of 6,560 food items weighing over 10,000 pounds to help fight hunger this holiday season.
