WAYNE COUNTY, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) has been designated a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) organization to assist the public with the health insurance marketplace process. Services are offered free of charge to everyone, not just patients of WMCHC physician practices.
WMCHC has appointed two full-time outreach enrollment coordinators, thanks in part to a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to train and retain staff for this service.
To make an appointment or inquiry regarding the insurance process, call 570/251-6569, or 570/251-6554.
Meantime, the Wayne Library Alliance and WMCHC will present a series of general information sessions on the new health insurance marketplace—who is eligible, what information you need to have, what options you can choose from, when the deadlines are and more—to be held at the following libraries on the following dates:
Bethany Library, Saturday, November 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon,
phone 570/253-4349
Newfoundland Library, Wednesday, November 13 from 1 to 3 p.m.,
phone 570/676-4518
Hawley Library, Tuesday, November 19 from 4 to 5 p.m., phone 570/226-4620
