Financing projects in PA

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Clean Energy Cooperative, a member-owned and all volunteer organization, has privately financed two commercial solar systems in Pennsylvania (without state incentives like NY has), one on the roof of The Cooperage non-profit community center in Honesdale, and the most recent on the barn at Anthill Farm near Bethany. They are looking for more local clean energy projects for 2018, solar or otherwise, and are always looking for new members-owners (one-time $100 fee to join) as well. Annual SEEDS retreat

BETHANY, PA — Sustainable Energy Education and Development Support (SEEDS) will hold its annual retreat on Saturday, January 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bethany Public Library, second floor. There will be a potluck luncheon. All SEEDS members are welcome to come and listen and/or participate.

SEEDS is a group of individuals in Northeastern Pennsylvania committed to developing a renewable energy infrastructure in our community and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.

Slow Money Delaware

REGION — Slow Money Delaware River is an informal educational group supporting local sustainable farms and food producers. They are a part of the international movement (see SlowMoney.org) encouraging people to invest in their local food producers.

Last winter the group held two potluck sessions at The Narrowsburg Union. While no public events are currently planned, its Facebook group is active, and several private efforts are underway between local investors and local producers who need capital for startup or expansion.
