You never know what life is going to throw at you. On Sunday, January 24 my mother was having the time of her life at a cousin’s party, dancing and singing Irish songs. On Sunday, March 3 she was in the hospital fighting for her life. She is as yellow as a banana, and has a blockade in her bile duck, congestive heart failure and a urinary tract infection along with a blood infection.

Dolores Maniseri is back in Wayne Memorial Hospital and Emily Buddenhaggen is in Mercy Hospital. Please keep them in your prayers. All I have to say is God bless all the nurses and aids—there is a lady in the room next to my mothers’, that makes me look like twiggy, and she had to go and went all over the place. They cleaned it up like it was nothing. Not me, no way, cannot deal with that; give me blood and guts any time.

The Women's Community Club of Cochecton will have its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, March 12, 7:30 p.m. at the Old Town Hall. All women from the town are invited.

The Narrowsburg-Lake Huntington Red Hatters' first event of 2013 is Italian Day at Villa Roma on Thursday April 25. It includes coffee and cake at 10:30 a.m., lunch, a musical show, bingo and other activities until 5 p.m. Call Judy at 845/932-8210 or Pam at 845/252-7208 for menu choices and other details.

On Sunday, March 17 Narrowsburg is going to have a St. Patrick’s Day parade. Lineup is across the street from St. Francis Church and the parade starts at 1 p.m. All local businesses are welcome to put a float in the parade or march. The more the merrier, come out and have a great time.

All classmates young and old: there will be an all-classes reunion on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Narrowsburg Inn. The price will be $15 for a buffet dinner. This does not include drinks. Ned Lang will be roasting a pig so we need to have at least 80 tickets sold in advance. So please, send your money in with your commitment to party and have a good time. You can send a check to Candace Bennis, 26 Gabel Road, Callicoon, NY, 12723. It doesn't matter if you graduated from Narrowsburg. If you were from Jeffersonville, Delaware Valley, or Eldred, join us.

Have a great week and you can email me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news.
