MILANVILLE, PA — The Milanville General Store will be accepting donations for Kate’s Wish for Wellness Chemotherapy Comfort Bags. The project was started in memory of Kate Frisch Carmody to help patients like Carmody, who was a non-smoker, kept herself in great physical shape and ate a healthy diet, but nevertheless contracted an aggressive form of lung cancer at age 42, and died a year later.

Both items for the bags and monetary donations are being accepted. Items needed are fuzzy socks for women and men’s socks, playing cards, hand cream and sanitizer, chapstick, bags of hard candy and gum, tea bags of relaxing teas, puzzle books and books on strength and love.
