BARRYVILLE, NY — Just in time for Halloween, DENiZENStudio at 3512 State Rte. 97 will present “Death’s Door” on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit will feature Woody Goldberg’s photographs of cemeteries in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in autumn.

A resident of Eldred, Goldberg was a social worker with the homeless in New York City for many years. He has been taking pictures since childhood, and for the past 12 years his digital photographs have captured the beauty of natural places. His work is currently on exhibit at UpFront Gallery in Port Jervis.

On Friday, award-winning and published poets Paul Cooper, Mary Greene, Karen Morris and Marcia Nehemiah will read works centered on the themes of impermanence, death and the autumn season. The reading will begin at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Upper Delaware Writers Collective.

Poison Love will perform a blend of acoustic music throughout the evening. Costumes are encouraged, but optional. Visit www.denizen.us, email denizen@ptd.net or call 570/576-0865.
