WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The 14th annual Wayne County Arts Alliance’s (WCAA) Artists’ Studio Tour will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 19 to 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. all days. This year there will be 18 artists in 13 studio locations, plus a headquarters and gallery at the Dorflinger Factory Museum in White Mills, showing artwork in a wide variety of mediums and styles.
The event is an opportunity to see artists at work creating in their studio environment, as well as to tour the Wayne County countryside as you travel from one studio location to another. This year also offers a special treat in the selection of the tour’s headquarters at the Dorflinger Factory Musuem and Arts Center located at Elizabeth Street and Route 6 in White Mills. The upstairs of this magnificently restored building is the recently reopened Dorflinger Factory Museum, with displays about the history of the glass factory and a stunning glasswork collection.
Downstairs, the studio tour headquarters serves an art gallery that includes artwork from each tour artist. WCAA volunteer docents will be present during tour hours to help with questions and directions to the various studio locations.
Brochures are available at many area businesses and visitors’ centers. You can also get more information and a map online at the 2016 Studio Tour tab at www.waynecountyartsalliance.org.
