JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jeffersonville will hold a Maple Syrup Festival on Saturday, April 23. Learn about local maple syrup, maple syrup products and how it’s all made.
The day will start with a 5k Sap Run, starting a 9 a.m. in front of Jeff Bank on State Route 52. The run will finish in the park, where sausage and pancakes will be served with fresh local syrup from 8 a.m. on. At the festival, which starts at 11 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m., you can sample all kinds of treats made with maple syrup, and kids can learn to tap a tree and participate in other fun activities. There will be a live maple-candy-making demonstration, a pancake eating contest, maple photo contest, live music, specialty foods, unique vendors and more.
