LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Catskill Art Society will present author Ron Capps for a reading of his new memoir “Seriously Not All Right: Five Wars in Ten Years” at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main St., on Saturday, September 20 at 3 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, and small donations will be accepted at the door.

For more than a decade, Ron Capps, serving as both a senior military intelligence officer and as a Foreign Service officer for the U.S. Department of State, was witness to war crimes, ethnic cleansing and genocide. He was diplomatically restrained from taking preventative action, which propelled him into a deep depression and a long bout with PTSD, which nearly caused him to take his own life.

He holds graduate degrees in liberal arts and writing from Johns Hopkins University. Ron and his wife Carole Florman live in Washington, DC and Livingston Manor, NY.
