Broadway hit ‘Guys and Dolls’ comes to Sullivan County

SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY — The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop will present “Guys and Dolls” at the Rivoli Theatre on August 8, 9, 15, 16 at 8 p.m. and August 10 and 17 at 2 p.m.

“Guys And Dolls,” based on “The Idyll of Sarah Brown” and characters by Damon Runyon, features a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, and an iconic score by Frank Loesser that includes such songs as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat,” “If I Were a Bell,” and “A Bushel and a Peck.”

The cast of “Guys and Dolls” will be led by Joseph Jervais (Nathan Detroit), Kristin Hackett (Miss Adelaide), Jessica Watson (Sarah Brown), and Angelo Heimowitz (Sky Masterson). The cast also includes Mariano Vidal (Nicely Nicely), Phil Spechler (Benny Southstreet), Sally Gladden (Abigail), Ed Berens (Harry the Horse) and Heather Strauss (General Cartwright). “Guys And Dolls” will be directed by Harold Tighe and Stephanie Watson, choreographed by Kim Schneeberger, and musical direction will be provided by Lauren Bernard.
