New Hope Community artists to exhibit at Catskill Arts Society

July 30, 2014

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — The art exhibit “Expressions: The Artists of New Hope Community” will have its opening reception on Thursday, August 14 at the Catskill Arts Society from 6 to 8 p.m. This event is open to the public and free of charge.

The exhibit features visual art in various media by individuals supported at New Hope Community as well as by New Hope Community staff members. Many of the pieces to be displayed have been created in the art studio at New Hope Community, a facility and function of the agency’s leisure department. A number of them were created during the agency’s Paint-A-Palooza program, which encouraged exploration of the visual arts with daily studio sessions open to all.

The Catskill Art Society is located at 48 Main St. in Livingston Manor. The gallery can be reached at 845/436-4227. This is a return to Catskill Arts Society for the artists of New Hope Community, who appreciate CAS’s ongoing support. This show is the first time that works from New Hope Community will be featured in the front rooms of this space.
