KAUNEONGA LAKE, NY — River House kicks off the season with the first of a meet-the-artist series called Artology on Saturday, May 17 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. This show features Nichole Christian and Pierre Chambres.

Christian, who is from Detroit, is the co-author of “Canvas Detroit,” which profiles the work of nearly 40 artists who are changing the landscape of America’s most misunderstood city. Her work also appears in the books “Dear Dad: Reflections on Fatherhood” and “Portraits 9/11/01: The Collected Portraits of Grief” from The New York Times.

Chambres is a photographer from Bordeaux, France who has been showing his work since 1999 around the world.
