NARROWSBURG, NY — “Vintage Pain,” an installation by Sally Rowe, opens with a reception on Saturday, March 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Delaware Arts Center’s Alliance Gallery. The exhibit will be on view through April 19.

In the “Vintage Pain” vignettes, colorful plastic figures harkening back to the 1940s and 50s are positioned in familiar domestic situations: watching television, dancing, interacting with parents. The scenes are staged on salvaged wooden boxes and are superscripted by short typewritten statements, almost confessionals, posted on aged paper scraps.
