MILFORD, PA — The Upper Delaware GLBT Center (UDGLBT) will present a classic film series to be held at the UDGLBT Center located at 201 W. Harford St., beginning on Wednesday, January 15 at 7:30 p.m. and then every other Wednesday, finishing on March 12. This series, hosted by John DiLeo, will feature the “Great Leading Ladies of Hollywood’s Golden Age,” including Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Claudette Colbert and Katharine Hepburn. All are welcome and the series is presented free of charge.

January 15 – “Funny Face” (1957): Set in the world of high fashion, this Technicolor musical stars Audrey Hepburn, dancing with Fred Astaire to Gershwin tunes in Paris.

January 29 – “Pat and Mike” (1952): The teamwork of Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn is the main event of this comedy in which tennis player Kate comes under the management of Tracy, improving her game and their love life.

February 12 – “Bus Stop” (1956): Marilyn Monroe plays a would-be singer in this comedy-drama based on the Broadway hit. Monroe gives the performance of her career, which includes a rendition of “That Old Black Magic.”

February 26 – “Midnight” (1939): One of the great screwball comedies, this Cinderella story stars Claudette Colbert (“It Happened One Night”) as an American stranded in Paris with nothing but her evening gown. Passing herself off as a baroness, Colbert crashes high society.

March 12 – “Summer Stock” (1950): This underrated musical showcases the triple-threat talents of Judy Garland. Here she sings her classic version of “Get Happy,” and also dances with Gene Kelly.
