LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Botanical illustrator Wendy Hollender will exhibit her artwork of edible wild plants from the just published “Foraging & Feasting: A Field Guide and Wild Food Cookbook” at Morgan Outdoors, 46 Main St. The display runs through December 30.

Hollender and herbalist/author Dina Falconi worked for three years, writing, drawing, designing and testing the recipes for this unusual book. Their effort weaves Hollender’s artistic skills honed over 15 years as a botanical illustrator with Falconi’s 30 years of investigations into wild-plant identification, foraging and cooking. The book, note cards and prints are also for sale.

Hollender is an instructor of botanical art and illustration at the New York Botanical Garden. Her work has been published in The New York Times; “O,” The Oprah Magazine; Real Simple and The Observer (UK). See www.drawingincolor.com.
