Lakeside Players to present ‘Making a Killing’ at Grace Episcopal

HONESDALE, PA — Every fall, The Lakeside Players produce a mystery/thriller, and this month, they’re back in Honesdale, presenting “Making a Killing,” by John Nassivera. The play will be performed on October 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 at Grace Episcopal Church Parish House Hall, 827 Church St. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.

“Making a Killing” tells the story of a Broadway playwright, his producer, and his actress wife, who hatch a plot to guarantee their new play will be a success. The play features Frank DeSando as Marty, the playwright; Kelly Ann Walsh as Estelle, his wife; Joe Sabia as Marty, the producer; and Phyllis Jordan as Marge, the agent. Roxan Schwartz is directing.

On November 8, 9 and 10, Lakeside will present two live, suspenseful radio plays in Lakeville, “Sorry, Wrong Number” and “The Hitchhiker,” both by Lucille Fletcher. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.
