STARLIGHT, PA — During the month of October, The Big D Arts and Crafts League will feature the paintings of Caroline Harrow in the gallery at the Inn at Starlight Lake.

Livingston Manor artist Harrow enjoys painting old barns and nature scenes in her realistic watercolor paintings. Her limited palette and muted colors have often been compared to Wyeth.

“I tried other mediums but found that my true love is in watercolors. I grew up on a farm in High Falls, NY and attended one of the last one-room schools in the state.

“This childhood instilled in me a love of the mountains, nature and a simpler life. I try to bring these feelings to my paintings.”

Harrow is a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society and has been included in their International Exhibition, Kent, Ct. for the last six years. Among her many awards are the NEWS Rosenberger Award, Mike Hein Ulster County Purchase Award as well as the Winter Wonders of the Catskills for two consecutive years.

Her work is included in many private as well as corporate collections throughout the United States and Canada.

Also included in the October exhibit will be oils, watercolors and photography by other League members.

The Inn is located on Starlight Road. For more information, contact the Inn at 800-248-2519 or visit
