Grants for cultural programs

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) is offering three grants to assist organizations and municipalities with cultural programming, and one grant for an artist-generated community project.

Decentralization Grants fund non-profit groups performing or presenting arts programs such as concerts, arts publications, exhibits, literary and music programs, lectures, theater performances, film screenings, workshops and more. The Artists in the Community Grant is for a highly accomplished artist creating new and significant work involving community participation in the creative process. The Arts Partners in Education Grant funds partnerships between Sullivan County teachers at a grade level and artists or cultural organizations in the county. Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grants fund non-profit groups performing or presenting arts programs such as concerts, arts publications, exhibits, literary and music programs, lectures, theater performances, film screenings, workshops and more.

All potential applicants are strongly urged to attend a free seminar that includes guidance on program and budget development, information on the program’s priorities, review criteria and contractual obligations. Pre-registration is appreciated. Seminars have been scheduled on Wednesday, October 16 at 6 p.m., Delaware Arts Center, 2nd Floor, 37 Main Street, Narrowsburg; Saturday, October 19 at 10:30 a.m., Wurtsboro Art Alliance Gallery, 73 Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro; Wednesday, October 23 at 6 p.m., Sullivan County Visitors Association, 100 Sullivan Avenue, Ferndale; and Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m., CAS Arts Center, 48 Main Street, Livingston Manor.
