Big Eddy Film Festival a success

NARROWSBURG, NY — Many people gathered last Friday night on the upper floor of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance for the opening night gala of the Big Eddy Film Festival. The festival screened 28 independent films over the weekend. The opening night feature was “The Truth About Emmanuel” and the two features on Saturday night were “Hide your Smiling Faces” and “Knuckle Jack.”

Other films included “Tiny,” a documentary about the tiny house movement, and many short films that were shot in the area, like “Skin” and “This Park Is Mine.”

Guests mingled at the opening night gala, enjoying the food prepared by Gerard Manzi of Gerard’s River Grill on Main Street in Narrowsburg. Other businesses on Main Street thrived during the festival weekend, with out-of-town visitors dining out at The Heron and getting a cup of coffee at Coffee Creations, and checking out the shops.
